Becky West (On Leave)

I am the principal at Amisk School. I have been teaching for Buffalo Trail Public Schools for thirty three years, and was the assistant principal at WES for twelve years before assuming the Amisk principalship in February 2021. I love being a part of the Amisk School family; spending time with our staff, students and community makes my days brighter! I feel lucky to have a job where I make a difference in the lives of kids every day, both directly in my interactions with them, and by supporting our staff members in being the best they can be. 

I have been married to my husband Greg for 35 years, and we have two daughters, Sarah and Kate. Sarah is a grade six teacher, and Kate works at a copper mine in BC. We also have a dog, Gibson, who makes our days hairier but much more fun! I enjoy reading, traveling and camping. I am an avid fan of the Edmonton Oilers and the Saskatchewan Roughriders!
