Brooke Whitehead

Grade 3
My name is Brooke Whitehead and I am thrilled to be back in the classroom for the 2025-2026 school year. I am a graduate from the University of Alberta and this will be my 7th year teaching, my 6th at Amisk school. This year I will be teaching Grade 3 Math, Science, Social, and Grade 2/3 ELAL, art, health, and gym
A bit about me.. I was born and raised in the small community of Metiskow and now reside on an acreage near Amisk with my husband Clinton, three year old daughter Charlie and one year old son Blair. When I’m not at school I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, gardening, travelling to new places and camping in the summer.
My favorite thing about the Amisk school is that it is uniquely K-3. We are able to cater activities to best suit our youngest learners and because our school and staff are small we make connections with ALL students in the school, not just the ones in our classroom. I always knew that I wanted to teach in a rural school, and it is so rewarding to teach students in the community that I reside in. I’m looking forward to another fun filled school year!
