Jamie Harkins

Hi! I am the Grade 2 English Language Arts and Literature, Math and Social Studies teacher at the A.P.P.L.E Centre. It’s incredible the new challenges and opportunities we all come to embrace every fall!

This is my third year helping little ones grow, learn and succeed. My favourite moment is to see their faces light up when they come to an understanding of a once-thought formidable idea.

Currently living in Lloydminster, you can find me taking long walks or cheering on the Bobcats when not in the classroom. And, it’s Elks all the way!

I grew up in Ottawa, Ont., and moved west about 12 years ago to become a journalist only to find my true passion is teaching. I can’t wait to start the school year and help our Amisk School students excel!
